The National Art Center Tokyo is a museum in Roppongi, Minato, Tokyo, Japan.

A joint project of the Agency for Cultural Affairs and the National Museums Independent Administrative Institution, it stands on a site formerly occupied by a research facility of the University of Tokyo.

Admission fee: General 1,600 yen,  College students 1,200 yen, High school students 800 yen.

Higashiyama Kaii Retrospective 1908-1999

National Art Center, Tokyo Special Exhibition Gallery 2E.

Period: October 24 – December 3, 2018.

Higashiyama Kaii (1908-1999) is nationally renowned as a Nihon-ga (Japanese-style) painter representing the postwar era. This exhibition marks the first large-scale retrospective of Higashiyama’s career in Tokyo in a decade.

Admission fee: General 1,600 yen,  College students 1,200 yen, High school students 800 yen.

10:00 – 18:00,
10:00 – 20:00 on Fridays,
Last entry is 30 minutes before closing.

Open on Sunday and Monday.

Closed every Tuesday, the year-end through the New Year’s holidays.
